How are the Travel Trailers cleaned between rentals regarding COVID-19?
At Richmond RV Rentals, we have always prided our business on providing comfortable, CLEAN, well equipped RVs for our clients. We have always followed a rigorous cleaning regimen in between rentals, and with the recent outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, we have added the following CDC guideline recommendations for cleaning. Rigs now have a minimum 3 day rest period between rentals. All soft and hard surfaces are sprayed with disinfecting spray. Bathrooms are cleaned with a bleach solution and wiped down. Please be assured every rental with Richmond RV Rentals will be as clean as it can be.
What is required for my tow vehicle?
All of our Travel Trailers are equipped with electric brakes. The tow vehicle must be equipped with a 7 way round trailer connector and the associated wiring for a brake controller. BRAKE CONTROLLER’S ARE REQUIRED FOR ANY TRAILER WEIGHING OVER 3,000 lbs. The Travel Trailers also have a 2 5/16″ coupler. Brake controllers and draw bars with the correct sized hitch ball are available for rent for a nominal fee.
What is included with the rental travel trailer?
Each of our travel trailers are equipped with pots and pans, cookware, dishes, silverware, coffee maker, and a portable grill.
Is there a minimum rental period?
- All of our trailers have a three night minimum rental period.
- Minimum rental periods are necessary due to the cost of prepping the vehicle prior to your trip and the cleaning cost after your trip.
Is insurance required?
Some insurance companies will provide a binder to cover both liability and comprehensive coverage on a towed trailer. Check with your vehicle insurance carrier, if they will provide a binder for both liability and comprehensive, then additional insurance is not necessary.
Do you allow pets?
Yes, with restrictions. We permit small to medium sized well-behaved dogs in our “Pet Friendly” designated RVs.
If evidence of a pet is found in a rental that has not been pre-approved for a pet, you will be charged a $100 pet cleaning fee.
Do you allow smoking in your RVs?
No, all of our rental units are strictly smoke-free. Smoking inside an RV will result in a $250 cleaning fee charged to the security deposit.
Why is the Security Deposit required?
The Security Deposit is dictated by the insurance deductible set by the insurance company. Some of the rigs carry a $1000.00 deductible and some of our rigs are $500.00. It is based solely on the value of the camper. The Security Deposit is fully refundable upon return of the undamaged travel trailer.
Do you offer Delivery Service?
Yes!! We have many clients that take advantage of our Delivery Service. This will include delivery of the travel trailer to the location of your choice (Campground, your house etc), Setup and walkthrough and pickup up the conclusion of your rental period. The Delivery Fee structure is $200.00 within 25 miles. $5.00 per mile over. This is due to the time and fuel cost to deliver a rig.. remember it is not just one trip to deliver a rig… it the delivery trip, the return trip, the pickup trip and the return from pickup. Please contact us directly if you have any questions about delivery service. Contact Us
For Example, if a campground is 100 miles from our location (3429 Charles City Rd, Henrico, VA 23231), it would be $200.00 for the first 25 miles and then the additional 75 miles at $5.00 per mile over. The total delivery fee would be $575.00. (75 x $5.00 = $375.00 + $200.00 for the first 25 miles).
What is included in the "Linens Package"?
Due to COVID Restrictions, we no longer offer a “Linens Package”
Are Generators available?
We have generators for rent that will provide power for the entire travel trailer. The generators are $40.00 per night with 8 hrs of usage included. Overages are billed at $10.00 per hour.
What is the cancellation policy?
50% refund up to 14 days before pickup, then no refund after that.
No refunds will be issued for early returns.
Are there any "Hidden Fees"
The only extra fee we charge is for tank dumping. In the event the grey and/or black tanks are not returned completely empty, there will be a $100.00 fee as we have to take the rigs somewhere to dump the tanks. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions on this. Contact Us
Are the campers equipped for Dry Camping?
All of our campers are equipped with a fresh water tank, a black water tank (toilet), a grey water tank (shower and sinks) as well as a 12v Battery. This enables camping without being hooked up to resources. HOWEVER… the functionality of the camper is dependent on a 12 volt power source. A generator will be required to recharge the battery at frequent intervals. We recommend full hookup sites in order to take advantage of a relaxing camping adventure.
